C. Jason Payne
Jason began his career with Summit Partners, a leading global private equity and venture firm. He went on to co-found a venture-backed software company and hold a variety of roles with American Dental Partners, a dental practice management company now owned by JLL Partners. In 2010, Jason teamed with Gavin Turner and John Griscavage (CEO of PlayMaker CRM) to start the Madrone Foundation, a private foundation with the goal of assisting the financially challenged to pay for healthcare and education expenses. Today, as a founder of Mainsail Partners, Jason co-manages the firm and is an active advisor to Mainsail CEOs through his role as a board member for Mainsail’s portfolio companies. Jason received an A.B. in International Relations from Stanford University.
Tom Black is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Tom Black Center for Selling. Mr. Black is the author of the book, The Boxcar Millionaire. Tom Black is an entrepreneur who has founded, purchased, sold, and taken companies public. Mr. Black served as Chief Executive Officer of Imagic Corporation, a Nashville-based check imaging software company, and Tecniflex, Inc., a check processing equipment maintenance and servicing company. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Private Business, Inc., which provided an accounts receivable financing solution to community banks from 1991 until 1998, prior to the company’s initial public offering.
Tom Bell brings a proven track record of success to the growing dynamics of Ncontracts as a veteran in strategy, technology and business development. He is currently CEO of Merchant e-Solutions, a US-based commercial acquirer and global payment processor that is owned by Cielo S.A., the leading merchant acquirer in Latin America. Previous career highlights include leadership roles with payments and consulting entities such as Capellas Partners, Bank of America Merchant Services, First Data, and Accenture.
Chris is an Operating Partner at Mainsail Partners where he works with Mainsail’s portfolio companies to implement best practices in digital marketing and sales execution. He joined Mainsail in 2010 and helped to build the firm’s Operations Team, a dedicated group of operating professionals committed to helping Mainsail’s portfolio companies scale and accelerate growth. Prior to Mainsail, Chris spent 10 years leading marketing for Yahoo!’s media businesses where he helped build category-leading products including Yahoo! Sports, News and Finance. Earlier in his career he worked at several start-up companies including Action Marketing Group (a Warren Miller Entertainment Company) and mobile billing software company ITDS. Chris received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
Michael Berman has been practicing law for over 15 years. Mr. Berman was General Counsel for Goldleaf Financial Solutions, Inc., a publicly traded information technology company on the NASDAQ. Mr. Berman has also worked as General Counsel for Tecniflex, Inc. and Imagic Corporation. During his legal career, Mr. Berman was involved in numerous financial institution regulatory matters and contract management issues, and assisted in the development of many information management systems. Mr. Berman is frequent speaker at financial institution conferences, regarding vendor and contract management. He graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Communications and holds a J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee.
